The BC4ESE interactive web-platform will be available online soon and for free!
BC4ESE (Building Capacities for Innovation in the Eco-social Entrepreneurship Education) is an Erasmus+ project involving eight partners from six countries: Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Cyprus, Montenegro and Serbia.
The BC4ESE Interactive web platform contains 18 gamified educational modules “Eco-SE-E-lab”, consisting of various online games, virtual challenges and digital activities, all inspired by real-life eco-social entrepreneurs.
Incorporating game-based learning into social entrepreneurship education offers a dynamic and effective approach to preparing young people for the challenges of creating positive social change. By engaging young people in immersive experiences, fostering collaboration, and simulating real-world scenarios, games can equip aspiring social entrepreneurs with the skills and mindset needed to navigate the complex landscape of social impact. As the field of social entrepreneurship continues to evolve, educators and learners alike should explore the potential of game-based learning as a valuable tool for building the next generation of socially conscious innovators.
The 18 BC4ESE games have been created thanks to the research carried out by the consortium, which highlighted the environmental needs, the challenges in the partner countries and the needs of young future eco-social entrepreneurs. They have been identified through face-to-face video interviews, analysis of the current barriers that prevent young people from engaging in eco-social entrepreneurship.
Games simulate real-world scenarios, allowing learners to make decisions and experience the consequences of their actions in a risk-free environment. The BC4ESE games present players with challenges related to community development, environmental sustainability and social skills. These simulations immerse young people in the complexity of social issues, encouraging them to think critically and develop innovative solutions.
The 18 modules are accompanied by a handbook and players will receive a certificate upon completion.
The learning modules will be tested in Croatia with 16 young people interested in social entrepreneurship.
