The Teaching, Training, and Learning Activity (TTLA) held in Split, Croatia, brought together young people from various corners of Europe for an engaging experience in eco-social entrepreneurship. This blog article serves as a recap of the event, highlighting its significance, key takeaways, and the impact it had on participants.
From May 9th to 12th, 2024, Split became a hub of innovation and collaboration as 16 participants from eight partner organizations across six different countries gathered for the TTLA event. Hosted by CEDRA Split, the event’s main goal was to empower young individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to drive positive change in their communities. This diverse group brought together perspectives and experiences from across Europe, enriching the learning experience for all involved.
Throughout the TTLA event, participants engaged in activities with multiple objectives in mind. The Virtual Learning Laboratory, known as “Eco-SE-E-Lab,” served as a digital platform hosting various educational games crafted during the project, including room escape games, online games, digital games and challenges, and blended learning activities. This platform provided an avenue for idea exchange and feedback, fostering collaboration and personal development.
Under the guidance of CEDRA Split trainers, participants were involved in group interactions, and discussions aimed at encouraging connections, improving teamwork dynamics, and learning about eco-social entrepreneurship. The program included diverse training activities such as working in pairs, icebreaking sessions, group building exercises, getting-to-know activities, group work, reflection sessions, self-assessment activities, presentations, and game-based learning through digital educational escape rooms. These activities covered a range of engagement methods, from fostering teamwork and communication to encouraging self-reflection and interactive learning.
The event provided an opportunity to translate theory into practice. Engaging in game-based learning activities and practical case studies, participants refined their problem-solving capabilities, their creativity, and strengthened their teamwork skills. The interactive learning atmosphere facilitated collaboration and empowered participants to think innovatively. The TTLA event gave an insight into the world of eco-social entrepreneurship. While playing the games, participants explored topics such as sustainable development, green business practices, and social innovation. Through discussions, and hands-on activities, they gained insights into the principles and practices of eco-social entrepreneurship.
At the conclusion of the event, participants were presented with certificates for successful completion of the international training “Eco-Social Entrepreneurship Laboratory BC4ESE”.
The TTLA event was a powerful learning experience that prepared participants for future initiatives. With new knowledge and inspiration, they returned to their communities ready to make a difference. Whether launching sustainable businesses or starting community projects, the TTLA event provided them with the tools and confidence to lead change.
