CDP „Globus“ is the first centre for the development of social entrepreneurship in Bosnia and Herzegovina, located at the Banja Luka city. The mission of the center is to promote and to encourage the development of social entrepreneurship and activity on the principles of solidarity towards reducing social exclusion, poverty and unemployment in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Main goals and strategic priorities of CDP “Globus” are:

• Promoting and encouraging the development of social entrepreneurship through research, education, consulting and direct support on non-profit basis;
• Advocating for the establishment and development of institutional and legislative framework in the field of social entrepreneurship;
• Activity on the promotion, advancement and protection of human rights and overcoming poverty and social exclusion;
• Strengthening the capacity of NGOs and other target groups for the implementation of programs / projects in the field of social entrepreneurship;
• Raising the level of social responsibility, entrepreneurial culture and ethics in the community / society.

Since its establishment, CDP “Globus” is devoted to the development of cooperation with other organizations in BiH and abroad. Activists of the center are initiators and creators of the first Coalition for the Development of Social Entrepreneurship in BiH (informal network), dedicated to building a more favorable environment for the development of social entrepreneurship in Bosnia and Herzegovina.  CDP “Globus” is a member of the Diesis Network, one of the widest European networks specialized in supporting the development of the social economy, social entrepreneurship, based in Brussels, Belgium.

The work of the organization is recognized at the regional and international level. CDP “Globus” is:

• One of the six organizations from the region that signed the “Declaration of Civil Society of the Western Balkans on the Social Economy” in Belgrade in 2022, which invited decision makers to take concrete steps that will contribute to the further development of this economic model based on the protection of society and the planet.
• CDP “Globus” was a partner of the International Civil Society Week 2019.
• CDP “Globus” is the winner of the International award and recognition “CREATING FOR CENTURIES” twice, for the contribution to the development of entrepreneurship in central and south-eastern Europe for 2018 and for special initiative and excellence in entrepreneurial creativity in central and south-eastern Europe for 2022. The goal of awards and recognition “CREATING FOR CENTURIES” is to publicly acknowledge and draw the attention of the general public to the great visionaries and leaders of tomorrow whose fearlessness, work, knowledge, inventiveness, creativity and top results are the foundation and main driver of the progress of the community in which we live and create development challenges for the new era. The Award ceremony was held recently, in December 2023, within the framework and under the patronage of the World Congress of Entrepreneurs.

The organization has extensive experience in implementing projects aimed at reducing social exclusion, supporting the development of social entrepreneurship, etc. like Fostering Social Entrepreneurship in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Agenda for Social Entrepreneurship, ProAct and others. In recent years, the center has actively participated in projects supported through Erasmus+ of the European Union.

Through the work of CDP „Globus“, more than 50 civil society organizations have been strengthened educationally and advisoryly, while some of them have been directly supported. Socially useful and innovative CDP “Globus” projects have left a strong mark on the employment of marginalized categories of the population in BiH. CDP „Globus“ contributed to employment and maintenance of employment for 200 people, mostly from socially excluded categories.
