Cluster for eco-social innovations and development CEDRA Split is an association founded in 2013, which operates in the field of promoting social entrepreneurship, sustainable development and social innovations. CEDRA is the coordinator of the BC4ESE project.

CEDRA has vast experience with the preparation, mentoring, implementation and administrative management of dozens of projects financed from national, EU and other sources, and the projects are implemented through the cooperation of the public, private and civil sectors.
CEDRA’s experts participate in the development and implementation of formal and informal education programs, encouraging eco-social entrepreneurship and active citizenship. The employees have been awarded in the field of introducing social innovations and have distinguished themselves in their work with children and young people, trainee teachers, and in the development of active citizenship and entrepreneurship projects for children and young people.

CEDRA Split is responsible for the creation of the Split-Dalmatia County Human Resources Development Strategy and city programs for youth in several municipalities across the county, including rural communities.
CEDRA is the teaching base of the University of Split and the only civil society organization in the Republic of Croatia that is the holder of the technical secretariat of the only intersectoral Local Partnership for Employment of the Split-Dalmatia County, in charge of coordinating development activities: preparation/implementation of projects, development coordination of stakeholders, preparation of strategic and action plans, institutional projects and capacity building of members.
CEDRA Split implemented several projects related to eco-social entrepreneurship.
The project “Islands of student entrepreneurship and eco-social innovation for the sustainable development of the Split-Dalmatia County”, acronym OPERA SDŽ, was financed under the program “Local Development and Poverty Reduction”, from the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism for the period 2014. – in 2021. The project deals with the problem of the lack of competence of teachers and OOD for the effective inclusion of student entrepreneurship and active citizenship in the educational programs of primary schools in the Republic of Croatia, especially in the target areas of the three islands of Šolta, Hvar and Vis.
“Socio-entrepreneurial mosaic of the Split-Dalmatia area” (ESF UP.02.3.1.01.0170) project is dealing with the promotion of social entrepreneurship to the local population with a focus on young people and promoting the importance of youth engagement and social innovation. The goal of the project is to help social entrepreneurs improve their capacity for sustainable business, development and promotion of products and services, and to inform the public about the benefits of SEs for society and the environment.
“Eco-social entrepreneurship for young people” project is intended for high school students and/or young people up to the age of 30 in the city of Split. Through free workshops, young people from the city of Split are given the opportunity to gain insight into the basics of social entrepreneurship (definition of the term, concept, strategic framework for the development of SOEs in the EU and Croatia), examples of good practice from the world, the EU, Croatia and the region, and the process development and realization of an entrepreneurial idea.
