Partners of the project BC4ESE just finalized the first project result – Eco social entrepreneurship e-book.
The main aim of the first project result is to look at the Eco-Social Economy in the European and Western Balkans countries.
The ultimate goal of the study is to drive more young people to start and develop eco – social businesses and make sure that they have access to appropriate help and support at each stage of their entrepreneurial path.
Diesis Network together with CDP “Globus” were the responsible partners for the production of this deliverable and support of all of the partners of the project: coordinating partner CEDRA Split (Croatia), Local Development Agency Prozor-Rama (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Young Ambassadors (Serbia), ADP-ZID and CSO (Montenegro) and The Hub Nicosia (Cyprus).
The final result of this output is an e-book and 2 video interviews gathering first hand views and needs of the target groups: societies, entrepreneurs and young people.
The e-book is available in readable and printable formats and as an e-pub in English language. The publication of translations in Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian, French, Montenegrin and Greek language is expected in February 2023.
The e-book consists of 2 parts: the general background information about social entrepreneurship and the concept of eco-social entrepreneurship and the country analysis.
For each country, we have focused on the following points:
- Research and Analysis of the existing state of the matter regarding eco-social entrepreneurship in partner countries containing statistical and legal data as well as recommendations and observations made by the research team.
- Research on obstacles preventing the development of eco-social projects and activities through social entrepreneurship with a general conclusion and recommendations for improvements.
- Good practice examples of existing eco-social entrepreneurs in partner countries, EU and the world that gathers 54 examples of successful eco social entrepreneurs that will be used as role models in the educational resources we are currently working on within the second project result – gamified eco social entrepreneurship education.
