Centre for Vocational Education is an institution established by the Government of Montenegro. Centre for Vocational Education performs developmental, advisory, research, professional work and the work of evaluation and quality assurance in vocational education and adult education.

Vision

Center for Vocational Education is a modern and influential, developmental, advisory and research institution, recognized as a confident partner by the relevant national and international subjects, having competent and motivated stuff and creating conditions for quality, flexible and efficient vocational education and adult education in line with European standards.

Mission

Centre for Vocational Education as developmental, advisory and research institution, establishes and promotes the system of vocational education and training in order to create professional work force, capable to step in the labor of market, continuous education and programs of lifelong learning depending on personal, social and economic interests.

Center, in the area of vocational education and adult education:

• Performs professional tasks of monitoring, analysis and development of the education system;
• Together with the education institution, works on promoting educational and learning process and evaluates the quality of the realization of educational standards;
• Performs the preparation of professional tasks on the issues being discussed by the National Board of Education and the Ministry;
• Performs professional tasks in preparation of: educational programs – curricula, professional standards, qualification standards, examination catalogues for the professional qualifications, normative and standards of teaching aids and equipment;
• Performs researches;
• Performs advisory work in the institutions in the field of vocational education and adult education and other institutions connected to educational process;
• Organizes teacher training and principal training;
• Organizes state skill competitions for vocational school students;
• Evaluates the quality of educational work in the institutions of vocational education and adult education in accordance with the annual plan and methodology;
• Performs training for the evaluators;
• Performs advisory work by monitoring the quality in the insitutions of vocational education and adult education;
• Monitors the realisation of action plans for quality assurance in the institutions of vocational education and adult education, in accordance with the recomentations from the external evaluation report;
• Plans, organises and monitors different forms of professional teacher trainings, keeps the evidence of teachers’ licences etc.

Center for Vocational Education, since the foundation, took part in numerous international projects with relevant international organizations and partners, as: GIZ, LUX Development, KulturKontakt – Austria, Connected Through Mobility – Erasmus +, British Council, ERI SEE, DVV International etc.
